On the Stones (Štěpán House) - Old Town Square 26/478, Old Town
Old Town Square 26/478, Old Town
Originally a Romanesque house, rebuilt and adapted countless times; the cellars have a Romanesque and Gothic character, many other Gothic architectural elements were preserved too (e.g. the arches of the Renaissance vaulted arcades and the portal on the groundfloor). The façade is early Baroque from the beginning of the 18th century. Part of the rooms is vaulted with Renaissance vaults, on the first and second floors there are stucco ceilings with Baroque oil paintings with mythological and biblical themes.
